Martin A. Cannon
President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Cannon has served as the President, CEO and board member of New Health Sciences since 2004. Prior to joining NHSi, Mr. Cannon held senior positions with several leading management consulting firms including 15 years of experience at Bain & Company and A.T. Kearney, which acquired Cannon Associates, an international consulting and business development firm founded by Mr. Cannon. As a partner at Bain & Company, he concentrated on the diagnostic instrumentation (including ultrasound), blood banking and hospital management industries. Mr. Cannon also served as Executive Vice President with Commerce One, Inc., and Group President, Management Consulting with AppNet, Inc. with responsibility for the development and deployment of software-based decision support platforms. He is a graduate of Oxford University.
Michael Bavonese
Director, Finance & Administration
Mr. Bavonese serves as NHSi’s Director of Finance and Administration. Prior to joining New Health Sciences, Mr. Bavonese enjoyed a successful 14 year career with Johnson & Johnson where he served in various Corporate Finance roles of increasing scope and responsibility. Mr. Bavonese is a Certified Management Accountant, has earned a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Drexel University.
Heather Keith
Director, WebTCD Sales & Marketing
Ms. Keith, Director of Sales & Marketing, has 16 years of marketing and sales experience in the medical device and in-vitro diagnostic industry. She has executed several successful product launches, built and managed a national sales team, and driven companies to profitable sales goals. Prior to joining New Health Sciences, Ms. Keith worked for various medical device, software, and consulting companies in the mid-Atlantic and New England areas. She holds an MBA from Boston University Metropolitan College and a BS in both Biology and Business Administration.
Clair Strohl
Director, Hemanext Product Development
Mr. Strohl serves as Hemanext Program Manager and is responsible for leading the design and development of the Hemanext Anaerobic Platform (HASP). Mr. Strohl has over 30 years of experience in medical product design and development with major device manufacturers and several startup companies and holds eleven medical device patents. Mr. Strohl has led the development of implantable cardiac-assist devices, blood processing disposables, urological collection systems, intravenous infusions, ostomy and vascular access devices, and ultrasonic and radiological accessories. For these products and devices, Mr. Strohl has carried new concepts from market assessment through patent initiation, including structural engineering design, packaging, prototyping, experimental evaluation, pilot manufacturing (including marketing, clinical evaluation, and regulatory approval), market introduction, customer training, and field troubleshooting. Mr. Strohl earned a B.S., Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Tatsuro Yoshida, Ph.D.
Director, Hemanext R & D
Dr. Yoshida serves as Director, Research and Development for Hemanext and is one of the two co-inventors of the Hemanext technology. He specializes in red blood cell physiology and heme protein biochemistry. Prior to joining New Health Sciences, Dr. Yoshida was Senior Research Associate at Boston University’s Department of Biomechanical Engineering. Dr. Yoshida earned a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. in Physics & Biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Tatjana Rundek, M.D., Ph.D.
Consultant
Dr. Rundek is the Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Miami and also has a role at the Adjunct Research Faculty of the Department of Stroke and Critical Care at Columbia University. Dr. Rundek was formerly Assistant Professor of Neurology and Director of the Research Neurosonology Laboratory at Columbia University. She received her training at the University Hospital Sisters of Mercy in Zagreb, Croatia and at Brossharden Spital in Munich. Dr. Rundek is a member of the Editorial Board of Neurology, Stroke and the Journal of Cardio-Metabolic Syndrome and has over 80 publications.
